1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the AthletIQ platform ("Service"), provided to football clubs and their staff and players ("you", "your club"). By activating an account, registering a passkey, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a club or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Service
AthletIQ is a performance and wellness management platform for football clubs, covering training planning, wearable and GPS data integration, wellness surveys, AI-assisted analysis, and team communication. Features available to a given account depend on the roles assigned by your club's administrators (e.g. Admin, Coach, Personnel, Player).
3. Accounts & Activation
AthletIQ accounts are invite-only: a club administrator issues an activation code or link, and each person completes activation themselves and registers a passkey (or other supported authentication method) as their sole means of signing in — AthletIQ does not use or store account passwords.
- You are responsible for keeping your authentication device(s) and passkeys secure
- You must provide accurate information during activation and keep it up to date
- Accounts are personal to the individual activated and may not be shared or transferred
- Your club administrator may suspend or deactivate your account in accordance with their own policies (e.g. on leaving the club)
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to upload or process data you are not authorized to collect about a player, coach, or staff member
- Attempt to access accounts, teams, or clubs other than your own, or to circumvent the Service's access controls
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the Service's underlying models, code, or datasets beyond your own club's data
- Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law, including data protection law applicable to minors
- Introduce malware, attempt denial-of-service, or otherwise interfere with the Service's operation
5. Data Ownership & the Club/AthletIQ Relationship
As between your club and AthletIQ: your club is the data controller for the personal and performance data of its players and staff, and remains the owner of that data at all times. AthletIQ acts as a data processor, processing that data solely to provide the Service and on your club's instructions, as further described in our Privacy Policy and in the Data Processing Agreement made available to clubs.
6. AI-Assisted Features
The Service includes features that use artificial intelligence — including chat assistants and automated analysis of wearable, wellness, and nutrition data — to support (not replace) coaching and medical judgment. AI-generated output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as medical advice. Certain AI features send the relevant data to a third-party AI provider for processing; see the in-product disclosure shown at each AI feature and our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Third-Party Integrations
The Service can connect to third-party wearable, GPS, and notification providers you choose to authorize. Your use of those providers is also governed by their own terms. AthletIQ is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.
8. Service Availability
AthletIQ is currently offered on a pre-production/test basis. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and the Service may be updated, changed, or temporarily unavailable without notice during this phase. We will communicate material changes affecting your club where practical.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. AthletIQ is a decision-support tool; final decisions regarding player health, selection, and training remain the responsibility of your club's own qualified staff. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AthletIQ's aggregate liability arising from use of the Service is limited as set out in the commercial agreement between AthletIQ and your club, or, absent such an agreement, to the fullest extent the law allows exclusion of liability.
10. Termination
Your club may stop using the Service at any time. AthletIQ may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment (where applicable), or misuse that risks the security or integrity of the Service or other clubs' data. On termination, data export and deletion are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves, particularly as we move from pre-production to general availability. Material changes will be communicated to your club, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
